Searching Texts and Items
Shortcuts | Functions |
Ctrl+E | Move to the Search box to search all notebooks. |
Down arrow key | While searching all notebooks, preview the next result. |
Enter | While searching all notebooks, go to the selected result and dismiss the search. |
Ctrl+E, Tab key, Spacebar | Change the search scope. |
Alt+O after searching | Open the Search Results pane. |
Ctrl+F | Search the current page. |
Enter F3 | While searching the current page, move to the next result. |
Shift+F3 | While searching the current page, move to the previous result. |
Esc | Dismiss the search and return to the page. |

Ctrl+Alt+Right bracket (]) | Increase indent level of the current page in the page navigation pane. |
Ctrl+Shift+Alt+N | Create a new subpage below the current page. |
Ctrl+A To expand the selection, press Ctrl+A again. | Select all items. |

Ctrl+Alt+Right arrow key | Move the cursor right on the current page, or expand the page to the right. |
Alt+Down arrow key | Go to the next note container. |
Home | Go to the beginning of the line. |
End | Go to the end of the line. |
Alt+Left arrow key | Go to the previous page visited. |
Alt+Right arrow key | Go to the next page visited, if possible. |
Alt+Ctrl+Plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad or Alt+Ctrl+Shift+Plus sign (+) | Zoom in. |

Ctrl+S | Synchronize the notebook. Note: While OneNote is running, your notes are automatically saved whenever you change them. It is not necessary to manually save notes. |
