- To get Padlet app for PC and Mac, visit Padlet’s official website.
- Click the Install button to download the installer file.
- Once it’s done, double-click on the installer file to start the installation.

Padlet Tutorial
Once you signed up Padlet, you will see the dashboard. The dashboard is pretty much like the feed on a social media.
It has a home screen that shows the updates of your padlets. Here, you can also see the projects that you have done, both individually and collaboratively, including the liked ones. And the Collaborators will show the names of people you have worked with.

Here are some features you need to know on Padlet:
1. Make a Padlet
Choose it to start creating your padlet.
2. Join a Padlet
Choose it to work collaboratively on padlet.
3. Settings
Click the gear icon on the top right to get into the settings. Here lies a Modify section that holds all tools you need to design your padlet.
You can write down your name, change the background, icon, choose fonts, and many more. Press Save when you’ve done.
4. Privacy Settings:
It has 5 privacy standard options:
- Private
- Password Protect
- Secret [default]
- Members Only
- Public
You can also choose what your viewers can do:
- Read
- Write [default]
- Moderate
- Manage your padlet
5. Post
There are 5 ways to create a new post on your padlet:
- Tap the round pink (+) button
- Double-tap anywhere on the padlet
- Drag and drop the files that you want to put on your padlet
Here are some ways to attach files or links to your post.
6. Share
There are several options about how you want to share your padlet: Share on Twitter, Facebook, Google Classroom, Email, or just copy the link and share it to your other social media platforms.
Do you want to share it on your blog? Padlet provides an embed code that you can use to place in your blogs.
Or, just get the QR code.
Saving your padlet is also possible. Padlet offers five ways on how you save your work: image, PDF, CSV, and Excel Spreadsheet.
How to Create a Post on Padlet
Here’s the Padlet tutorial for all beginners.
We assume that you have done designing your Padlet, but if you haven’t, you can follow these simple steps:
- Click Make a Padlet button to start your new padlet.
- Click the gear icon on the top right and navigate to Modify. Design your padlet as you please.
- Once you’re done with your padlet, click Save.
After your padlet is ready, now let’s create your first post. There are 3 ways to create a post on padle. Choose any of the following methods to create your post:
- Tap on the round pink (+) button at the bottom.
- Double click or tap everywhere on the padlet. A box will show up and you can start writing or attaching files.
- Copy and paste a link to the padlet, but it works for the web only. The preview of the site will appear on your padlet within seconds.
- Drag and drop any files that you want to add to your padlet.
To delete your padlet, you can go to the three-dotted icon on the top right and select Delete at the bottom. Confirm it by inserting the 4-digit code.
Note: You cannot recover the deleted content.

How to Join a Padlet
Padlet allows you to work together for creating content. You can do it from a mobile app or a web browser. There are two ways to join a padlet:
- Invitation link: Share or ask for a link to join as a contributor. If you are a teacher, you can share the link of Padlet in your Google Classroom to invite your students to be contributors.
- QR code: Scan the QR code to get access to the padlet.
Note: The Grid or Wall format works better if you have several people working at the same time. There is no limitation to the people who work on the padlet.
