With your permission, Microsoft Edge can store information such as your name, credit card number, and other personal information and use it to fill out forms on websites across all of your signed-in Windows 10, macOS, iOS, and Android devices, as well as across multiple browsers.
To change or delete information that has been saved, go to Settings and more > Settings > Profiles.
Tip 11: Allow the web to read aloud to you
For Microsoft Edge to read webpages aloud, right-click anywhere on the page and click Read aloud from the context menu that appears. Then right-click again and choose Read previous paragraph, Read next paragraph, or Pause. You can also adjust the voice and pace by clicking Voice choices at the top of the page.
If you are using a mobile device, go to the menu > Read aloud and then select your preferred voice and language settings by tapping the gear icon.
Tip 12: Full-screen browsing
You can hide the address bar and other things by pressing F11 or choosing Settings and more > Full screen.
Press F11 or move your mouse to the top of the screen and click the Minimize icon to leave full screen mode.
Tip 13: Only show symbols in the favorites bar
You can choose to only show an icon for a favorite to make room for more favorites on the favorites bar. Right-click the favorite and choose “Show icon only” from the menu.
To show the name again, right-click the icon and deselect “Show icon only.”
Tip 14: Mute tabs
Mute audio on a tab quickly by selecting This tab is now playing media on the tab to turn off the audio. Select the symbol once again to enable audio.
Tip 15: Use your mouse, touch, or pen to draw on a PDF.
When you open a PDF from your PC or the web in Microsoft Edge, the toolbar will display two options: Draw and Erase.
Click Draw and add comments to the page with your mouse, pen, or touch, or select Erase to make a correction.
Tip 16: Pin tabs for quick access
Every time you open Microsoft Edge, you will see your favorite websites in the same location. Simply right-click an open tab and select “Pin tab” from the context menu.
Tip 17: Use Outlook from your browser
With the Microsoft Outlook browser extension, you can add mail, calendar, contacts, and tasks to Microsoft Edge with the click of an icon.
Access your Outlook work account, Outlook.com account, or Hotmail account quickly without having to switch to a different tab or app.
Install the Outlook extension.
Tip 18: Access websites directly from the taskbar
Microsoft Edge allows you to pin the websites that you visit the most frequently to the taskbar.
To do so, go to Settings and more > More tools > Pin to taskbar.
Tip 19: Multitask easily using Edge bar
Find what you need quickly and smoothly return to what you were doing. The Edge bar enables quick access to search, tailored news, and productivity tools without taking up too much space on your screen.
Edge bar can be tried by navigating to Settings and more > Edge bar and selecting Open Edge bar or by going to the menu > More tools > Launch Edge bar.
Tip 20: Swipe to go forward or back
If your device supports a touch screen, you can go back by swiping your finger from left to right or from right to left.
Tip 21: Instantly translate web pages
When you go to a page that is written in a different language, a message will pop up offering to translate it. If you click “Translate,” you can change the text to any language you want.
If you want to translate a page later, click Show translate options > Translate in the address bar.
Tip 22: Access your favorite sites in a single click
To see your favorite sites, open a new tab. To add a site to your quick links, click Add a site. To remove a site, move your mouse over it and click Remove this site.
Tip 23: Stop videos from playing automatically
Select Settings and more > Settings > Site permissions > Media autoplay to stop videos from playing automatically when you go to a site. You have a choice between three things.
Select Allow if you want videos to start playing automatically, or Block if you don’t want them to. If you choose Limit, the browser will look at how you’ve used videos on a site in the past to decide whether or not to automatically play videos on that site.
Tip 24: Move multiple items into Collections
On a website with a list of products, you can now select multiple items, click and drag them to your Collections list, and drop them into a collection you choose.
Tip 25: Save many tabs to Collections
Using Collections, you may instantly save and reopen all of your tabs. Simply right-click on a tab and select Add all tabs to a new collection to store them to a collection.
Tabs from your active window will be added to a new collection, which you can rename. Right-click on the collection and choose whether to open the items in the current window, a new window, or an InPrivate window to reopen those tabs.
