Start from here, things are quite different than in previous version of Windows. In the past, you only need to click one button and Windows will change the default app for all associated file types.
In Windows 11, you need to set default for all file types one by one. So, if you want to set Google Chrome as your default web browser on Windows 11 PC, you need to replace Microsoft Edge with Chrome for each file type.
7. Click Microsoft Edge under .htm to make Google Chrome your default web browser on your Windows 11 PC. Then, select Google Chrome and press OK.
8. Repeat the step 6 for the other file types that you want to make the default to use Google Chrome.

Set HTTP and HTTPS default apps to Google Chrome
If you think that making Google Chrome the default app for all file types is a quite troublesome task to do, you can set Google Chrome as the default app for HTTP and HTTPS only.
It will change your default browser to Google Chrome even though you let other file types unchanged.
The next time you open a site, Windows 11 will open Google Chrome instead of Microsoft Edge.
And if you go to Google Chrome > Settings > Default browser, you will notice that Google Chrome has become your default browser now.
