How to Pair Google Pixel Buds A-Series to Your Phone and Other Devices 

Google Pixel Buds A-Series are excellent TWS earbuds with superb sound quality. It is the Pixel Buds budget model, which costs $90.

These earbuds have a simple design with an initial G in the center. With only 42g, they are pretty small and light. They have an IPx4 license which is water and sweat-resistant.

For a single charge, the earbuds can provide 5 hours of playback. It’s not the best, but still enough for daily use.

To use Google Pixel Buds A-Series, you must connect it with your device. In this post, we’ll show you how to pair your Google Pixel Buds A-Series to Android and other devices, including how to fix a pairing issue.

How to Pair Google Pixel Buds A-Series 

Option 1: Google Pixel 

This method also works well for other Android devices with Android version 6.0 or later. 

To see the Android version you have on your phone, go to Settings > About phone > Android version.

To pair your Pixel Buds A-Series to your Google Pixel or other Android devices, here’s what you need to do:

1. Open the case of Google Pixel Buds. Make sure that it’s fully charged. 

2. Unlock your Google Pixel. Then, turn on Bluetooth and Location. 

3. Press and hold down the pairing button at the back of the Pixel Buds case until the white light blinks. 

4. On your phone, you’ll see the Google Pixel Buds A-Series pairing notification. Tap on it and follow the instructions to finish the pairing.

Option 2: Other devices

Follow this method if you want to connect Google Pixel Buds A-Series to your computer, tablet, or other devices.

Here’s how:

1. Open the case of Google Pixel Buds. Make sure that it’s fully charged. 

2. Open your PC, Mac, or tablet and turn on the Bluetooth.

3. Press and hold down the pairing button at the back of the Pixel Buds case until the white light blinks. 

4. The Google Pixel Buds A-Series would appear on the available Bluetooth devices list. Select it to pair.

Once you have successfully paired your Google Pixel Buds A-Series to your phone, take out the earphones from the case and put them on your ears. 

Check the L (Left) and R (Right) letters on the earbuds before placing them on your ears. So you know which earbud goes to the right or left ear. 

Google Pixel Buds A-Series comes with a stabilizer arc to make them attach to your ear comfortably. You don’t need to worry that they will fall off when you move a lot. 

Everyone has different ear tips. If you feel that the current earbuds on the Google Pixel Buds A-Series are too big or too small, you can change them with the correct size that is included in the box. Use earbuds that fit with your ear tips. 

How to Fix Google Pixel Buds A-Series Pairing Issue

You can do these three simple methods to fix a pairing issue that you face while trying to connect the earbuds to your phone.

Method 1: Make sure it’s fully charged

Place the earbuds back into the case and close it. Make sure that they are fully charged. You can press the light to see that the case still has power and charge the earbuds well.

If the case is running out of battery, you can charge it and leave it for one hour or so. After that, you can try to connect the earbuds to your phone once again.

Method 2: Forget Bluetooth

If the Pixel Buds are fully charged and you can connect them to your phone once, but the connection is not good, you can try to forget the earbuds from the connected Bluetooth devices on your phone.

Do these:

1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.

2. Tap the Pixel Buds on the connected devices list.

3. Select forget or delete.

4. Open your Pixel Buds case and make sure that the earbuds are inside.

5. Press and hold the pairing button for 3 seconds.

6. You’ll see the pairing notification on your phone. Tap on it.

Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the pairing.

Method 3: Reset Google Pixel Buds A-Series

If the previous methods fail, you can try to reset Google Pixel Buds A-Series.

Please note that it will restore the settings back to the default and erase the name of your device.

After you reset Google Pixel Buds A-Series, you need to set it up once again by changing the name, enabling/disabling features, and so on.

Here’s how:

1. Connect the charging cable to your Pixel Buds case.

2. Charge the case with the Pixel Buds seated inside and leave the case open.

3. While charging, press and hold the pairing button at the back of the case for 30 seconds.

4. Release the button when you see the status light stops blinking.

5. The earbuds light will be flashing white and orange interchangeably for a minute and it will blink white when the reset is finished.

After you reset Google Pixel Buds A-Series, wait for a couple of minutes before you try to pair it again.

Google Pixel Buds A-Series Gestures and Controls

Google Pixel Buds A-Series supports several different gestures to control your media, respond to calls and your Google Assistant. 

Here are some gestures that you can use on your Google Pixel Buds A-Series:

  • One-tap: Play or pause media, answer calls.
  • Double-tap: Next song, reject and end calls.
  • Triple-tap: Previous song.
  • Touch and hold: Speak to Google Assistant. 

Alternatively, you can say “Hey Google” or “OK Google” to speak to Google Assistant without touching and holding your earbuds.
