To change the Wi-Fi network on your VR headset, you can use one of the following methods:
Method 1: Using Oculus mobile app
- Turn on your Oculus Quest 2 and open the mobile app on your phone.
- Press Device at the bottom and select your VR headset.
- Select Wi-Fi and choose the new network you’d like to connect to.
- Insert the Wi-Fi password.
- Tap Connect to Wi-Fi.
Method 2: From your headset
- Press the circle button on your right controller to open the universal menu.
- Hover over the clock on the universal menu and you’ll see the Quick Settings.
- Open the Quick Settings and select Wi-Fi.
- Choose the new network you’d like to connect to and insert the password.
- Choose Connect.
4. Factory reset your Oculus Quest 2
If your PC or phone that is connecting to the same network doesn’t face a Wi-Fi limited connection issue, the network system on your Oculus Quest 2 might be the problem. You can try to factory reset your Oculus Quest 2 headset.
Note: A factory reset will erase all data and settings that you have saved in your VR headset. You will need to set it up again as if it was brand new.
- Power off your headset.
- Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time until you see the boot screen on your headset.
- Select the Factory Reset using the volume buttons on your Oculus Quest 2.
- Press the Power button to proceed with your selection.
- Select Yes using the volume buttons and hit the Power button.
