How to Fix Oculus Quest 2 Wi-Fi Limited Connection

To change the Wi-Fi network on your VR headset, you can use one of the following methods:

Method 1: Using Oculus mobile app

1. Turn on your Oculus Quest 2 and open the mobile app on your phone.
2. Press Device at the bottom and select your VR headset.
3. Select Wi-Fi and choose the new network you’d like to connect to. 
4. Insert the Wi-Fi password.
5. Tap Connect to Wi-Fi.

Method 2: From your headset

1. Press the circle button on your right controller to open the universal menu.
2. Hover over the clock on the universal menu and you’ll see the Quick Settings.
3. Open the Quick Settings and select Wi-Fi.
4. Choose the new network you’d like to connect to and insert the password.
5. Choose Connect.

4. Factory reset your Oculus Quest 2 

If your PC or phone that is connecting to the same network doesn’t face a Wi-Fi limited connection issue, the network system on your Oculus Quest 2 might be the problem. You can try to factory reset your Oculus Quest 2 headset.

Note: A factory reset will erase all data and settings that you have saved in your VR headset. You will need to set it up again as if it was brand new.

1. Power off your headset.
2. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time until you see the boot screen on your headset.
3. Select the Factory Reset using the volume buttons on your Oculus Quest 2.
4. Press the Power button to proceed with your selection.
5. Select Yes using the volume buttons and hit the Power button.
