Did you just upgrade your VR headset? Check out how to connect your Oculus Quest 2 to your PC.
Connecting your Oculus Quest 2 to your PC can be done in two ways: by using Link or Air Link.
Link is a cable that connects directly from your PC to your Quest 2.
Air Link is a wireless connection between your PC and your Quest 2 which takes advantage of WiFi or Bluetooth connections on both devices, so you don’t have to worry about cables getting in the way of gameplay!
System requirements
The first thing you’ll need if you want to connect your Oculus Quest 2 to your PC is the software. Visit oculus.com/setup and press Download Quest 2 PC App under Air Link and Link Cable section.
There are also different download links for Oculus Rift S, Oculus Quest, and Oculus Go. So, please be aware of your device type before clicking the download button.
As the minimum requirements, Oculus Link will need a computer with Windows 10. It is quite unfortunate that Windows 11 is not yet supported with the Oculus software. It is also suggested that you have 8 GB of RAM or greater.
The recommended processor is Intel Intel i5-4590 / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or higher. Meanwhile, for the GPUs, NVIDIA GeForce GTC 1650 Super or above and AMD 400 series or higher are recommended. To see a complete list of the GPUs, please visit Oculus Link system requirements.
Once everything is set, let’s jump to the tutorial.
