How to Change the Default Browser on Windows 11 PC
Note: In this tutorial, I’m going to use Google Chrome as an example. You can still follow the steps even though you are using a different web browser.
1. Download and install a new web browser that you want to use on your computer.
2. Open the Start menu and type settings.
3. Select Settings from the list of results.
4. Select Apps on the right pane and select Default apps on the left column.
5. In the Default apps window, go to Set defaults for applications and type Chrome.
6. Click Google Chrome from the list of results.
Starting from here, things are quite different than in the previous version of Windows. In the past, you only need to click one button and Windows will change the default app for all associated file types.
